Ok this thing works and I've bought and used it but I won't give a good review if I don't like the fact that I need it. It's silly and funny. I am not against Digital Rights Management. After all, I'm a programmer. But do you know what it doesn't? Actually prevent piracy. I bet anyone can go online and find cracked versions of any program that requires ILOK. In the meantime, I might lose or forget something like this when I'm out of town. What should I do then if I need to open a Pro Tools project? The only thing this dumb USB dongle does is punish people for wanting to obey the law by making paying customers feel like criminals. So yes, it's stupid. I have a range of online activated music software that works great. Why is Pro Tools so special? Who knows.
