Review on Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens: A High-Performance Sony E-Mount Lens by Pin Chun Lin ᠌
I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.
Despite the rather high cost compared to native 1.8 SONY lenses, sigma fully justifies the means with excellent sharpness, powerful aperture and pleasant smoothness of out-of-focus objects at a wide aperture. It was a little disappointing that Sigma decided not to complete the lens with a case, although it is attached even to cheaper art lysines on E and MFT.
- Incredible sharpness and aperture (F1.4 makes itself felt), cool build quality, soft touch coating of both the cylinder itself and the lens hood, a wide focusing ring.
- With a hint of backlight, at wide aperture, the lens produces crazy aberrations - not the biggest problem, removed in Adobe Cam Raw; Not weather sealed, so be careful when shooting in bad weather; No optical stabilization; Poor equipment;
