This product is designed to replace the same type of switch. This often means corrosion of the outlet assembly. It would be better to remove and replace the spout as well, but corrosion can make this difficult or impossible. The product is simple. The instructions are clear, but I'd suggest looking on YouTube for a way to disassemble the old build rather than destroying it permanently. Also, the handle is brazed or welded to the handle, not bolted/bolted. In my opinion the old stock was better (shorter). The new shaft is longer and separates the baffle plate from the chute guide rail when in the down position. You must MANUALLY ensure the valve with the gasket goes all the way through the guide rail to block the supply tube. (You don't have to turn the water on to do this.) Do this before final assembly by sliding the bottom of the stem into the gate opening. I figured it all out, mine works great!
