The colors are "old " but beautiful, comfortable to use!
This was my first set of water soluble oils, I had them pre all mediums so I would say they are good for beginners. I just made my color charts but I think Cobra is easier to use imo. They have amazing old colors so if you want to do more portraits or even copy old masters they are perfect for that! They lend themselves well to layers if you choose to paint this way.
