The lid is metal, which I like. The pressure is good. There's a little, little oddity with the paint over the steel near the ledge where you drink. Sometimes the paint appears to be peeling along this edge. It's a minor imperfection in the overall design, but really nothing to worry about unless you're really picky. Kleen Canteen's color is slightly lower so it doesn't touch the lower lip when drinking. This one is too wide to fit in my car console (which Kleen Canteen does) and too big to fit under a water filter if I wanted to get water in without holding it there and waiting. None of this is a design flaw, just a minor inconvenience because it's taller and wider than the Kleen Canteen. It's also stronger and has a nice heavy base.
