Review on πŸ“‘ Enhanced FM Dipole Antenna by Parts Express by Robert Ryokan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good for this purpose if the FM stations are strong enough.

Only use in an area with a good signal. Even if your house is made of turned stucco, if you can't place an antenna in the attic, don't expect great results. The antenna on most FM table radios is built into the power cord. Sometimes it is difficult to organize the cable so that all channels can be received. If you have an external antenna connector (pan head screws or F-connector), make sure the impedance matches. This is a 300 ohm antenna so you may need a balun to match the 300 ohm antenna to your radio if the radio is 50 ohm. This dipole is directional and intended for indoor use, but you get what you pay for. If you're in a decent signal zone, expect decent results (unless you live in a Faraday Shield).

Pros
  • Economical
Cons
  • Big and chunky
