I couldn't screw the burner into the lamp

I didn't screw the burner all the way in so I couldn't start screwing the burner into the lamp. I bought two of these and both had the same defect. This isn't a lamp either as I had two different lamps and neither burner could accommodate the burner. I've attached a picture with an arrow showing where there is no thread.
