MORE RESEARCHED: READ THIS if you have a HEAVY WOOD, HIGH PIXELATION, or an antenna for MULTIPLE HDTVs!

I installed this outdoor antenna and got amazing results! Mounting the antenna is not difficult, but of course it all depends on your skill. Previously, with internal antennas of all possible types and configurations, I was only able to see 20 channels and probably see 4 (maximum) without serious pixelation all the time. Watching sports became frustrating and was the last straw that motivated me to buy the best outdoor antenna I could find. I have a dense tree population and reception is better in winter when the leaves are shedding from the trees. I also live about 35 miles from TV stations. After installing on the roof, he pointed the right direction, I got 60 channels and all channels came in clearly! The treetops still get in the way, but now I can watch football, baseball, and hockey from local channels (when they're live) with no stuttering or pixelation! Some Notes: 1. It was important to use the "Direct Antenna Transmitter Locator" website to get the direction of the transmitters and then line them up accurately using the digital compass on the iPhone (Bluetooth must be on for maximum accuracy ). 2. I also learned a lot about antennas and how to install them. Watching some videos on YouTube, it was recommended to use conductive grease on all outdoor coaxial cable connections to prevent moisture ingress and ensure longer life of the connections. This tube of conductive grease was less than $5, so it was worth applying to every external connection. Cheap cable splitters significantly reduce the signal strength of the antenna and are simply not suitable for antennas! When I installed the antenna, I went through the door to connect the cable directly to the TV to receive 60 channels. After confirming the direction and that the antenna was working as advertised, I connected to the inside of the house using the existing coax cables and splitters already installed. I lost a significant amount of antenna signal even from a two way splitter. Wow, that was a revelation for me, but then I realized these cheap cable splitters work better for cable TV than antennas! I reduced the number of channels from 60 to 30 and the two channels I really needed are gone again. Therefore, if this antenna is connected to multiple TVs, or the coax cable to the TV is longer than 50ft (mine was 125ft), it is highly recommended that you use a Channel Master amplified signal splitter (2-, 4-, or 8-channel). splitter-amplifier method). I also researched this and found that Channel Master has high ratings and good customer service. I received an antenna with a UHF and a VHF antenna. The VHF antenna is a band at the top and for $50 you can just get a UHF antenna. I'm not sure what stations the FM antenna picks up (although I have a couple of audio radio stations on my TV at the moment), but if the model number has a "V" then it probably has an FM antenna (look times for the dark bar at the top of the number "8" antennas). If the "V" is not included in the model number, it may not have a VHF antenna. Because of this, some of these antennas cost $50 less than others. It took some research to find this answer, but I've documented it here to make it easier for others. Now it's on every channel! I am very happy with this antenna and after the initial investment I am saving at least $100/month on cable TV. I can't say you will get as good results as I did, but it has greatly increased my viewing pleasure!
