We use them every day in the summer when we have fun at the pool and everyone who comes here asks where we found these cups. In the bright summer sun, they keep the drink ice cold for an hour or more. If you keep them in the shade you can keep refilling them for 2-3 hours before they lose their chilling factor. At that point everyone gets a new one and the fun starts all over again. We have had 12 cups over the course of 2 years and always hand washed them. 2 out of 12 cracked for reasons we're not sure about, maybe heavy use or just design. None of the handles fell off as others have pointed out. Although a few broke I recommend them overall for the benefit of all the drinks they kept cold for us! Just keep in mind that you will likely develop some cracks over time and factor that into the cost.
