I had a couple of Edison lightbulbs that I bought on sale at my local Bullseye. One of them actually burst and the glass fell out of the pendant light and onto the table top! Luckily there was a basket underneath that didn't break the lightbulb. I've been looking for great deals on Edison light bulbs for a while and this pack of four bulbs worked for me. They are made in China and appear to be of the same quality as some of the other nicer Edison bulbs I've had. They really add a touch of class to any open bulb fixture. The claimed lifespan is 3000 hours. I haven't experienced any premature failures with the higher quality Edison bulbs I've bought, which is a good sign. Tip: To extend the life of these bulbs, use a manual dimmer that allows the filament to heat up slowly (fractions of a second can extend the life of an incandescent bulb). I'm looking for a "regular" switch that has this fade-in function without having to resort to a dimmer.
