Review on NEX Machine Christmas Portable Protector by Carol Miller

Don't go backwards. Destroy the thread.

Thread breakage. I set it to the slowest setting and it still wears the thread down until it breaks. It doesn't do reverse stitching, meaning all your work can be taken apart. To keep the stitches from unraveling, I've seen videos of someone pulling a thread from the other side and tying a knot, which is one solution, albeit a bit unorthodox. This is a good sewing machine for kids. I want my child to learn how to sew their own projects and not accidentally damage my beautiful sewing machine. Needle guard is what initially attracted me to this product. This is a fairly simple machine with a few buttons that make it less confusing for a kid. When I first used it, my daughter (8 years old) was able to sew a simple dress for her doll.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: A simple on/off button or foot pedal saves you time. Straight sewing, easy to use. SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS
Cons
  • Very expensive
