Review on Plantronics Explorer 500: Sleek Black Bluetooth Headset, Model 203621-05 by Mateusz Grzesiak  (M ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I have not used the speaker and microphone of phones for 13 years. Headsets only! I started with Nokia BH900, then for a long time I lived with the best headsets from Jawbone until now, until the company went to another world. The last 3 years only with plantronics. Because there are simply no competitors. The Chinese are always somewhere nearby, but not that. Jabra - every time there is a feeling of stepping on some kind of rake - then the battery dies in exactly a year, then some other troubles. And only Plantronics still somehow exists and periodically pleases. I consider the Explorer 50 series to be the ideal plantronics - I wore out 3 pieces, but, unfortunately, they were no longer produced. It seems to have continued with Explorer 10, but it is also no longer being released. But real 11 hours of talk time, sooooo delicate noise reduction and an incredibly comfortable behind-the-ear mount! A year ago I bought an Explorer 500. And I was not disappointed. The sound in the speaker is really HD. Weight is less than the vast majority of competitors. And the noise canceler works really cool - plantronics finally managed to find the very border when the noise canceler really removes the noise, but still does not swallow the endings of your words (which was the sin with respect to specifically MY voice discovery 925 and Voyager 510). And a week ago I bought another Explorer 500, because I'm afraid that there will be no more of these, as it already happened with the Explorer 50. The only caveat to using the Explorer 500 is how you use it: take it out of your pocket, talk, put it back in your pocket. Wearing it constantly in the ear will not work, because 1) it can fall out and get lost 2) the ear canal will be very against it. Bought an Explorer 55 as a spare :)

Pros
  • 1. Sound in both directions. 2. Weight. 3. Battery.
