I have a Samsung monitor that connects to the Displayport so I bought it to connect to my processor's HDMI port since the Displayport of mine another monitor is occupied. I don't know if I have a defective product, but I've tested the adapter on both monitors and it doesn't show up on either one. I know for sure it's an adapter as my HDMI cable is brand new and works when plugged into my TV and yes I've used both monitors so it's not. I do not recommend that the product does not work.
