Doesn't work well for computer cable adapters

Doesn't work. Used to connect ASUS (K55 win 7) as well as Dell XPS (win 10). Hope this works for you. Attempting to connect to ASUS monitor and LG monitor. Thought it must have been DUD.

This unit works great and is worth the price

I recently bought a newer computer than just one with a Displayport output that I was unfamiliar with and my regular monitor with HDMI output didn't work. This little dongle just plugs into the display port output and allows me to connect an HDMI monitor cable to it. Works with no problems and my monitor now works great with the computer. Saved me buying a new monitor.

Nice to find a solution

Technology changes over time and quickly. Sometimes a device that is already a year old becomes obsolete because a completely new standard applies. This is the case with HDMI and DVI. My HDMI monitors. My laptop connections are DVI. I have HDMI cables and don't want to buy new ones. These HDMI/DVI converters come to the rescue. They fit DVI ports, accept an HDMI cable, and allow me to use my HDMI-based monitors (with built-in speakers) with my DVI-based laptop.

won't show up on my monitor

I have a Samsung monitor that connects to the Displayport so I bought it to connect to my processor's HDMI port since the Displayport of mine another monitor is occupied. I don't know if I have a defective product, but I've tested the adapter on both monitors and it doesn't show up on either one. I know for sure it's an adapter as my HDMI cable is brand new and works when plugged into my TV and yes I've used both monitors so it's not. I do not recommend that the product does not work.

having trouble with 4:3

I've only had it a year and it's still working very well. I did not connect my HTPC to my Vizio 1920 x 1080p TV. I originally wanted to do a double take between this and 1368x768. It said 1368x768 was not available. So if you have 1368x768 that you plug this into, if your computer allows you to revert it to 1280x720 then this will work for you. Other than that, it's a great product for the money and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who reads reviews like me!

Two monitors together, one PC

Excellent adapter. Connect to your PC's display port, then connect the second monitor's HDMI cable to the adapter and the other end of the HDMI cable to the monitor's input port. The only thing you might need to do is go into your computer's settings and determine which monitor is number one and which is number two. This adapter shows up on the monitor setup screen, so it's basically plug and play. Very easy. For such a price an excellent device, powerful. Also, when you're dragging information

Connected PC to TV with great success including sound!

So I had a 22 inch Samsung TV that was just gathering dust so I added it to my computer settings. My Quadro card only has DisplayPort connections, while the TV only offered VGA and HDMI. I stuck with digital to digital I was looking for an adapter. I was arguing between a real cable and an adapter like this. I don't think there's a huge difference, even when it comes to cost. I would say if you don't have a hand HDMI cable, it would be better to buy a real cable. Clarity is fine. I settled on a

Works pretty well in computer cable adapters

Haven't had a chance to crank this up to 4K yet, only 1080p but it worked well enough. I can sometimes notice a lag on the display, but that's to be expected with a USB display. My biggest complaint is that the picture drops out for a second every now and then. I'm not sure what's causing this (perhaps the laptop isn't keeping up as it normally does when the laptop is under load), but the interrupt is transient and doesn't happen all the time, so it's not that big of a deal thing for me…

Simple plug and play.

I bought two types of video/audio cables to connect my 55 inch LG Smart TV to an HP ProBook 6440b laptop. It took me some research in my computer manual to discover the program that controls the sound. When I found the switch to send audio to the display port, I was hooked. I am delighted with both the quality of the high-resolution video and the sound. I don't know how long this will take, but I like the locking button to keep the adapter securely in the displayport. The other adapter was for…

Affects Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

When I use this adapter, Bluetooth and WiFi start to disconnect. I read online that some unshielded cables can generate interference at 2.4GHz. I don't know how else to explain this, I didn't think it was possible, but I can confirm that the interference only occurs when I plug in this adapter and only stop when I unplug it. It's bad enough that I can't use my Bluetooth mouse. Your mileage may vary as your Bluetooth/WLAN adapters may be farther from your computer's DisplayPort. Note: This does…
