My picky son hates hiking shoes, but he needed more support and support than his regular shoes to accommodate our new love of hiking. I got the pink one for my daughter. As they are still growing I didn't want to buy more expensive shoes and only be able to wear them this season. It was perfect! I ordered the same shoe size as his normal sneakers. He said they are comfortable considering we did a 9 mile walk provided a lot more support and I love that it's just these type of cord closures so he doesn't have to fiddle with his laces had to fiddle around. During one of our trips they got very dusty but I was able to run them under water very quickly and just dry them in the sun. I would recommend.
