I have a 5 gallon tank and every time I have cleaned my tank after a few days I have put Blue in it and it has run through . shock period. Twice I nearly lost my nerve and went insane trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Bettas are finicky and hard to please so I did a lot of reading and research and found that they like water at certain temperatures and need certain pH levels, ammonia etc. Anyway, I bought this and quickly put it in his aquarium within two days of his tank being empty. Great, I put it back and waited. He looked around and started swimming! He loved his new home, hooray! Don't worry about shocking him anymore, I have a system now. Oh the pull on the sides is awful, they don't stay in place, that's my only problem.
