We only needed the spool but my husband said we could replace the whole spool. Elsewhere on the internet it was $120-$150 for the same and almost the same for the reel alone so we saved a ton of money which could have been 3x more! I didn't hear any of her typical "I can't believe it." -I-need-to-fix-something-else-here'/'YouTube-said-it-was-quick-and-easy-to-fix-but-now-I-was-fucking-at-hours-now/' I-can't-do-this-but-I-have-to-be-cause-I-can't-go-a-week-without-clean-clothes-' F-bombs were dropped during construction by a husband who was NOT a handyman is. So it must have been just as easy to install as the old one. The hair dryer didn't catch fire after replacing this part, so everything should be fine!
