The heater is as easy to install as shown in the videos. It's challenging, but it's Samsung's fault. Just be sure to wear gloves as there are a lot of raw sheet metal edges and you could easily cut yourself. The reason for the low rating is that the fuse failed after 6 weeks. I had to take everything back. Luckily I kept the original 4 year old fuse. This has been fixed for now. Overall disappointed with Samsung's durability and won't be buying a dryer from them again.

This item was purchased with the intention of correcting a previous problem with the heating element. I bought the first one and it worked for about two weeks and then returned it for an exchange. I got a replacement and immediately saw bent wire connections up to the predetermined breaking point. It must have happened during shipping as there was no foam or protective layer for these delicate parts. UPDATE: I installed this heating element on September 13, 2020 and it worked fine. As of February 11, 2021, he stopped working. Don't order that. Pay a little more for something that will last.
