Mini Fridge Upgrade - Works Great

I bought these LED strips to add some light to my mini fridge in our garage because it might be a bit dark already and I need an affordable solution. It worked great and it actually looks like we bought a fridge with a built in light. The great thing about this light and one of the main reasons I chose it is the magnetic strip. I wanted to be able to shoot easily for two reasons: 1) It's easy to be able to change the batteries. 2) Can be taken off when defrosting the fridge (a lot of ice has accumulated in the freezer in the past), the magnet is quite strong and I closed the door tightly to see if it had come loose and/or fallen off, and that does not budge. I mounted it on the left side to the right and everything lights up very well. I've found that the ambient sensor only plays a role the first time motion is detected, and even if the room is bright afterwards, the light stays on. Since the fridge is completely dark when the door is closed, this triggers the motion sensor when the door is opened and it triggers every time. The 15 second delay works great as the door never opens for very long unless we refill it and when I refill it the constant movement keeps the light going. I only have a few days so I will update the battery life. Since I only had rechargeable batteries when I installed it, I will be installing a new set of batteries today (01/29/2018) and will report the battery/LED life if anything fails at some point. For reference, here are the batteries I use: Duracell - Quantum Alkaline Batteries with Duralock Energy Saving Technology, AAA, 4 pcs. QU2400B4Z (DMi PK

Pros
  • ● Automatic Sensor Night Light, Humanized Design: The light turns on when you get within 10ft and turns off with a 15 second delay when you move out of range
Cons
  • Large and bulky
