I had to cut off the end of the tool to get the thread engagement in the M10 x 1.0 area. Nested thread placement is a good idea, but in practice it doesn't seem to work on modern damper rods with limited thread depth. The good news is that you can easily customize the tool to suit your needs. The bad news is that you'll likely lose certain thread settings in the process, and you don't actually have to modify the tool to use all of the thread sizes listed.
