Review on 🔥 Gates 33918 OE Type Engine Coolant Thermostat: Superior Performance and Precision Cooling by Bob Walters

I installed this thermostat and the car quickly began to overheat. I also made a water pump so I figured I did something else wrong. But I had my suspicions about this thermos. Took it out and hung it in a pot of boiling water and it opened at 195°. I bit the bullet and bought a more expensive Mopar OEM thermostat. Came out and she's cool as a cucumber. Confirmed this issue with 2 of these thermostats. I am convinced that everyone opens their 180-degree thermostats just as late. If your car needs a 180 degree thermostat, don't put this thing in. you have been warned
