Adhesive wouldn't come off

I like the look of the numbers but I had a very hard time getting the adhesive off the back. I'm not sure if perhaps they were old or something but the plastic covering adhered to the rubber backing on the numbers and made it extremely difficult to peel off. I totally ruined the #9 and actually peeled some of the rubber off the gold number. Fortunately, I also had a #6 which I could turn upside down and use. I can't comment on durability because I just installed them on my mailbox

When I opened the package and pulled out the numbers 0 through 9 I could not believe my eyes, not only are they elegant and a good size but the adhesive on them is insane. I couldn’t be happier with them and the price was reasonable for the quality
