Great stopping power - a few flaws

almost cracked my windshield testing the stopping power of these pads when I first installed them. So if you are all worried about that time 60-0 in your truck or SUV is a good option. However, I have two main issues with the pads: 1. No "screamers" on the pads. If you switch from ceramic to these, you might be surprised at how quickly they wear out. You'll be doubly surprised when you don't hear the annoying squeak that usually precedes a pad change and start grinding instead. These pads do not include all of the required hardware. Your vehicle may be different, but the FJ requires a set of return springs and a set of cotter pins for proper braking function. They came with neither one nor the other. Other observations related to the dynamometer field: 1. They produce copious amounts of brake dust. They will fade and shine and leave material on your rotor if you push the binders very hard and come to a complete stop.3. They are very quiet and offer fantastic pedal feel.4. They are much softer for the rotors.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • can't remember but there was something
