I was reluctant to order this hanger as I had very conflicting reviews but couldn't find a better solution in the short term. I ordered, received and installed the clutch in the stable, now I understand exactly why many people have problems: despite the fact that on the sales page 1.25 inch clutch, and on the product packaging 1.25 inch clutch directly the paper packaging says the product that is actually shipped is configured for a 2 inch hitch. Luckily, the product is cleverly designed to work with both 2" and 1.25" hitches. A hex wrench is needed to set the red standoffs to 1.25" mode. People who install a hitch without realizing it find their 1.25" hitch hopelessly falling into a 2" hole. The manufacturer really has to work on that. on her label to stop getting such bad reviews. In true 1.25 inch mode, I found this hanger worked very well. It's relatively easy to install with the included hardware and a drill + impact wrench, securely holds a 1.25" hitch to a Thule bike rack and has extra space for hitch pins/adapters. It is well made, which is probably the reason for the (relatively) high price.
