Review on 🚤 Ignition Switch for Mercury 87-88107A5: Boat Push to Choke, 6 Wire Base Key Switch with 2 Keys & Connectors by Nick Moo

In late 2021 the ignition switch on my 2014 Bass Tracker Pro Team 175 TF started to fail making it difficult to operate as is often the case with these boats. Instead of the nearly $150 OEM Bass Pro Shop I went with this one and used some shrink butt splices to connect it to the female side of the ignition switch wiring harness, keeping the wiring harness intact on the boat. The simple repair took less than an hour. This switch has the same build quality as the OEM switch I replaced, the color coded wires match as you would expect and the switch works great. The only oddity is that the key can be removed in any position, including run and start. While odd, it doesn't seem like a huge problem as the button slides back slightly even with the switch in the "Run" position. and connect/crimp that switch directly to it.
