I've been going in circles with Vanku Support for weeks trying to get this thing to work and finally gave up. I just got a new phone and it turned out that the problem was my cheap Blu Studio G5 phone. It just wasn't compatible. Plugged in my new phone and it worked like a charm. However, I still wonder about the importance of Android Auto. I think there is a screen mirroring feature that does the same thing. Bluetooth audio does a great job playing my audiobooks through the device and was 90% of the reasons I thought I needed Android Auto. If you know what Android Auto is and what it does and want to install it on a Vanku head unit, go for it. If you're not sure what it does, look it up and see if you need it. In my case not really. Support was great except they didn't fix the issue on my phone. They sent me a new key and even a motherboard for the head unit. Not sure what to do with this as I won't be disassembling the main unit but hey that was an impressive gesture. I'm glad I didn't need it.
