Review on πŸ”Œ Ford DS7Z-9E926-D ECU Computer Module by Carlos Macy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Be sure to buy the real ones! Fixes many problems

I purchased another throttle body from an unauthorized Revain dealer before purchasing this one. This part was accurately labeled as DS7Z-9E926-D and advertised as genuine, but it was not genuine at all. After a few months this throttle body stopped working properly and diagnosing the problem was quite difficult. Don't repeat my mistake and don't skimp on other sellers. It cost me a lot of time and money in the long run (buying two identical parts). Check out the FoMoCo branding bit by bit like the image I've attached. For those trying to figure out if this will solve their problems, here are the symptoms of the problem I was having: Reaction) - Loss of power at random times (especially on the freeway, releasing the accelerator and pressing it again seemed to be the leave throttle stuck for 30 seconds before ECU reset) - Rough shakes at idle at random times - Rough shifting - RPM fluctuations at idle and sudden RPM drops - Misfires (only for a short time) - Strong smell of fuel from manifolds when off the gas (when I opened the throttle I smelled excess gas and just waited for the correct air mixture to burn off) - No diagnostic codes although it wasn't obvious at first I was pretty sure the problems were with the throttle body. The problems would appear at completely random times and lasted about 30 seconds, after which the throttle body would appear to reset and return to normal. The whole time I thought I had serious transmission problems. This job is a walk in the park, seriously, do it yourself. I swapped it out in 5 minutes, all you need is an 8mm jack. 5 stars for affordable part and easy repair, no major issues.
