I'm surprised I've never seen this before. The holder for your smartphone is integrated in the handle. I think that's a brilliant idea. I've tried the mount with two smartphones, one 2.125" wide and the other 3.25" and they both fit with no issues. The slide adjustment doesn't grip as well as some phone holders I've used, but it can be an advantage as it's not a hassle to set up the phone. I think this will be enough for normal use (no running, jumping, rolling down hills, etc.). The phone holder tilts up about 70% to keep the phone screen clearly visible. The entire handle assembly is approximately 9 inches long. , with built-in tripod legs half the size of 4.5 inches. The tripod legs provide a stable, albeit limited, base. The tripod legs are non-detachable and there is no ¼-20 tripod socket on the bottom. The device comes with a GoPro ¼-20 to GoPro adapter that can be unscrewed and removed exposing the ¼-20 tripod screw. An extension cable can be installed on the device. The entire top can be rotated 360 degrees, which is very convenient. This device is great for use with cameras that use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or a wired connection. I will use it with GoPro and Osmo Pocket. Using it with a small phone like the iPhone SE works really well as all the controls are easily accessible within your app and the mount inserts almost fully into the grip when the phone is connected. The only important element that I think is missing from the device is a dedicated attachment point for the strap. This device is pricey due to the easy grip, but the built-in phone holder, tripod, and rotating head make it worth buying in my opinion. Jerry
