Review on 📻 Metra 99-8206 Single DIN Installation Kit - Fits 2001-2007 Toyota Highlander/4 Runner - Black by Tom Bennett

Fairly good kit. The instructions were generally pretty good, but there might be some issues installing the main unit. I had to fiddle with the protrusions on the head unit sleeve to get it protruding enough. The instructions mention that they are to "protect" the device, but they don't really offer much security. They offer no real protection against the device jumping up and down. I ended up stuffing the top and bottom of the sleeve with high density sponge to keep it from cracking. I've seen installers use black sealant, but didn't have it on hand. The kit should include a light metal strap that can be used to connect the main unit to this kit. I've seen this with other installers when I unplugged the radio.
