After installing a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on an SSD, the system hung intermittently. First once a day or two, then every day several times. And after acomuple of months it just stopped loading. The BIOS did not find the drive. I've tried it on other laptops and it's the same. I gave it for a replacement under warranty, but for now I returned my old SSD to the same slot and it worked perfectly for a month and a half. When they gave me a new one, I rolled Manjaro Linux and again the same garbage. I started reading system logs and googling. It turned out that this is a typical problem for a number of SSDs from Kingston, Samsung and other manufacturers, including the A2022 series. As far as I understand, the problemcomncerns only Linux and the implementation of APST technology in the SSDcomntroller firmware. At the moment, the problem is solved by setting the parameter in the GRUBcomnfig /etc/default/grub. GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nvme_core. Default_ps_max_latency_us=0" Then you need to do "sudo ate-grub" and reboot. It helped me, for a week now the flight has been normal, without freezes. For those who are interested, I give a link with a detailed explanation of the problem But the manufacturer has two stars for the product, because. the problem has been known for more than six months, a bunch of posts on the internet, and things are still there. No official announcements, no firmware ates. We should at least warn about this, saying that our craft does not work on Linux, there is such and such a crutch. It would be nice if there was a Chinese noun, but I did not expect this from Kingston.
