There is only one thing about this cage that I absolutely dislike! While the three feeding stations are extremely innovative as they rotate 180 degrees to fill them up and also block the hole so no birds can escape, they have a BIG flaw! Since the feeder pan snaps and locks onto the rotating part during assembly of the feeder unit, I have yet to figure out how to detach the feeder pan from the mount to temporarily remove it for a thorough cleaning if needed after the feeder body has been removed removed was attached to the cage, AND FINALLY NEED TO CLEAN! The best I can think of right now is to vacuum up any leftover food and wipe down the cups with a damp cloth when needed; but it would be a lot easier if they had a built in lever/latch on the front underside of the case so they could be easily removed and rinsed under the faucet. What I also didn't like was that the bell under the heart is practically useless when the mirror toy is hung on the side of the cage as shown in the picture. My solution is pretty simple. Since the ends of the perches are fairly close to the center of the cage, I simply heated a small wire on the stove, melted the initial hole in the end of one of the perches and screwed an eyebolt into the end of the perch and hung a mirror toy on it with that Perch higher than the next, one perch below, approaching the opposite side of the cage, and voila! Much better positioned and much more functional play toy! The transom is now the correct height for the middle perch and the bell hanging under the transom is now the correct height for access from the bottom perch. Of course, the mirror doesn't always point in the right direction, but it also encourages the bird to learn to turn it from time to time for viewing as needed. Once rotated it pretty much stays facing (until the bird pecks at it of course) which should be hilarious fun for both the bird and me! The included cookie holder is very useful for holding small or medium sized squid just above the pole. The fact that this keeps them perpendicular to the side of the cage and in line with the perch works really well as most birds like to work on the edges of the bones and this type of placement exposes ALL the edges. I won't fiddle around trying to form proper paper liners in the bottom trays based on their shape. I will use bird walnut shell litter to line both trays as well as just take the tray out, take out all the dirty contents and refill it as needed and I never have to mess with it. It is very well designed and very easy to assemble. I can accept the defects found; and still highly recommend this ALMOST PERFECT cage. Overall rating - 5 stars. Easy assembly - 5 stars. 5 Stars. Easy to change for better mirror toy placement - 5 stars
