Review on 🐠 Aquatop CF Series Canister Filter - Enhanced with UV for 370 and 525 GPH by Russell Robertson

I was a bit skeptical about this product based on the reviews but I had a pretty heavy algae bloom and just needed more filtration overall so I decided to buy it. Firstly this product was well packaged which made me very happy and also that everything arrived safe and sound. A lot of people will talk about the chemical smell coming out of the filter because they do pressure tests that leave some residue. Just remember to rinse everything quickly and you'll be fine! Another benefit of this filter are the material cups, I use Fluvals canister filters but they are pretty cool. The lower one is equipped with a blue sponge for larger particles, while all other bowls are equipped with catch bins for fine particles. I just added my media files at the top and they work great. Another thing that I really liked about this product is the mechanism that pure water comes out of. It's a cylindrical tube that can be adjusted in any direction and is perfect for my 150 gallon cichlid tank. Some have said they have problems with the start button but I can't believe it. When everything is set up, don't plug it in right away, just press the button for about 5 seconds and then release, the water will pour in and fill the whole filter. From now on you can plug in and enjoy how quiet this thing is! Mine only works for one day, but I can already tell exactly how the transparency of my water has changed. I highly recommend this product. I was very surprised and happy with this after trying the $250 Fluval FX5 which I came back to due to a microbubble issue. Overall a great filter, comes with UV light which is a huge bonus, cool media compartment layout, runs very quiet, easy to set up and fairly cheap price compared to all other canister filters.
