Overall aging hasn't been bad, but the second worst thing I've lost is my ability to hear high frequencies in music like cymbals and snare drums; I just don't hear some parts that I can remember. pretty sad. (You cannot wear a hearing aid with headphones). However, when I experimented with the EQ button, I found that the "Pop" EQ setting brought back a lot of those old sounds; It should have a noticeable treble boost. Delicious. So if you're buying one for grandpa, teach him how to pop the EQ. Another observation. When you press the power button, you have to hold it longer than I think is normal. I almost sent mine back as broken until I read the instructions on how to hold the power button.
