Picks up a lot of dirt
The mat is not thick which is normal but the material picks up a lot of dust, flying debris like weeds or anything else that can fly off garden plants or cotton like air particles. It collects a lot of flotsam. I can vacuum it lightly and it looks like new right away, but that's a daily job. It is more of a pile-like rug than a dry-toe rug. I think I cleaned the carpet more times than he cleaned his shoes. Maybe it would be nice on the inside of your door.
