So first I have to say that I'm not sure they will make me the owner of this review. I bought this product almost 7 months ago. i own this car I never write reviews unless I think it will be helpful enough for others. So let's start with the good. When this machine was brand new the coffee tasted amazing. I never thought that a coffee pod machine could taste so good. I have always cleaned it with a descaler using only Nespresso descaler solution. I would clean it somewhere every 2-3 months. After a few months of ownership I noticed the car was losing water. I did a little research and found that many DelongHi machines have this problem. I didn't care. I just fill it up when I need coffee and empty it when I'm done making my cup. Sounds boring, but the coffee is worth it. About 6 months after purchase, the machine started making a lot of noise. Like a grinding noise. I ran a rinse hoping it would help, but no. When I tried to brew coffee the next day, the machine wouldn't stop brewing coffee. The coffee that came out was heavily watered down and the noise got worse. The coffee was closer to the water than filter coffee machines. Terrible taste, at least that's what I thought at the time. I removed the scale hoping it would help. I contacted Nespresso and they said they would cover it under warranty. I was excited. They sent me a box that fit in the car very easily. I filled out a slip listing everything I had experienced with the machine, including the leak. After I sent it, I got it back in less than 2 weeks. I pulled it out and started brewing again. The coffee that came out tasted very burnt. Filter coffee tastes MUCH better than what came out. I drank a few more cups over the course of two weeks and the taste didn't change; burned and left ugly. I contacted Nespresso and told them about my problem. (By the way, they never fixed the leak, it still exists.) I was told the car needed cleaning. I told them I descaled it before sending it to them. Anyway, I ended up on the phone as I wasn't having any luck with customer satisfaction and decided to descale the machine again. BAMM! So the scent is back! Disgusting coffee as it was when I first bought it! I was so happy! And now the worst begins. It's been less than two weeks since I last descaled my car. And the burnt taste returns. Whatever they did to her while fixing it, she really ruined the car. I'm pretty sure I have year old parts and machine parts that previous owners never cleaned, descaled or maintained. I will never buy a Delonghi product again. What a big disappointment for all the trouble. $238 (that was the price at the time) for a coffee maker that lasts as advertised for 7 months. You can buy this car and enjoy it, but be aware that if your car breaks down, chances are old parts will be installed in the car if you plan to send it in for repair and you will play with it. Lottery for refurbished products, good luck to you. I changed my mind, this company replaced my car with a brand new one that works better than the original and still works perfectly.
