I bought this pitcher because it was glass and had a very large capacity (88 oz). I take water from the LifeStraw dispenser to fill a jug in the morning at work, then use the water throughout the day to drink, fill the coffee maker, and fill the ice maker. This jug holds more water than I need during the day and only allows me to add water once a day. It also looks good on the tray where I have it. The pitcher doesn't spill when you pour it like many others I've had. I find it fascinating that you can put this on the stovetop to heat water in it, although I haven't tried it and don't intend to.
