Review on ASUS ProArt Display PA248QV: WUXGA 24.1" | 1920X1200 | 75Hz | Height, Swivel, Tilt Adjustments by John Paul

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good! in my rating

A very good monitor for general use and work. I liked it so much that I immediately bought a second one. So many reasons to love it and only one small downside (see below). Pros: - Aspect ratio 16:10 (1920x1200). I prefer this aspect ratio because of the extra height. The best place for a 24-inch monitor is the solid build quality. Every detail from the base, screen, bezel and back panel seems well thought out and well made. The materials look and feel like a cut. - The base is very stable and the screen position is fully adjustable (height, tilt, pan, rotate) - VESA compatible - Many presets and fine-tuning of image/color quality - 3 inputs (DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA) - integrated speakers. No one should ever plan on using their monitor speakers as their main sound system, but in a pinch it's nice when you need them. They lack any bass, but otherwise the sound is surprisingly good.- 5 physical OSD control buttons + power button are easy to find and press. Eight (8) button presses to switch input. Too much of! What's even more ridiculous, it has the ability to assign shortcuts to 2 buttons, but switch inputs cannot be assigned to them. If it were possible, it would be ideal. (Functions that can be assigned to shortcuts are usually useless.) Luckily I don't plan on switching inputs that often, but if you do it a lot it can get really annoying. Despite one downside to the input switching, I still think this is a 5 star quality monitor, especially given the price. (under $200) Highly recommend.
