This light only maintains the color temperature you set when used with a remote control. It does not keep the temperature when turned on/off with the switch on the wall. And every time you turn it on, it's a different color (every time you toggle between any of the three options). You don't have these problems if you only use the remote, but it's in my living room and I have kids and the remotes disappear every day. In addition, going down the stairs to the living room is very inconvenient. It doesn't give the prettiest light in my opinion and was difficult to combine with my other warmer tones around my house. The lid is made of plastic and not of very good quality. It was pretty easy to install and the remote control is a nice feature, but it wasn't enough to make me want to keep it.
