I have a diesel pusher motorhome and it has a reversing buzzer in the cab. The Allison transmission had to be carefully put into park to lock the transmission brake and the horn never worked reliably so it may not always have been fully parked with the transmission brake applied when the selector was set to park and this OEM alarm was only an annoyance when trying to use backwards. I replaced that alarm with this dash mounted light and now I know without a doubt when I put it in reverse and when it fully goes from reverse to park. For me the real solution to the problem!
