It works. For the price I wasn't expecting much but I thought I'd give it a shot before buying a Channel Master or one of the other OTA DVR's. Like others have mentioned, the user interface is bordering on obsolete and there are glitches. I hooked it up to an analog tv that is on antenna (roof) and used the rca jacks. It comes with HDMI and rca cables. The directions are tiny so I just played around with it, not to difficult to set up. If you can program a remote you can do this. For now I'm using a flash drive that I already have, just plugs into front of unit. To record, open the guide, scroll & select program, arrow over from view to record and click ok. You can only set for once, daily, or weekly. No M-F. You can only see the days programing so you have to do it the day of. I have a certain morning talk show that I have set for daily and it will record when tv is off no matter what channel or viewing mode it was left on.Haven't been brave enough to see if it records while watching another channel!
