We had a backup channel but we never found the source of the problem. I put this unit under the washing machine where the water came out first in case it happens again. It was the only appliance I could find that would fit under the washing machine. Of course an alarm sounded at 6:15 and we had another problem. I discovered the problem early so there was no harm. We found the source of the problem and fixed the sewer line, but just in case, I use the device. The only downsides were that it was difficult to close the case with the battery inside and the adhesive on the mounting pad is too weak to hold even the device's light weight.
