We bought this ball to ride on a homemade pole my husband made. The cord is very long to ensure you can trim it to the perfect length. It didn't come with a clamp to attach it to the pole, but we did have one. The rope was strong enough, but I can say it won't last forever, especially if you don't take it off when not playing. For the price this was a great purchase. The rope can be replaced, but I think the best you get with this purchase is a great, strong, durable rope that will give you years of enjoyment!
