I think the pet you are trying to get the pawprint from didn't move and looked like a baby and liked to play with finger paints, that would be a great idea. However, it was extremely difficult to use. I tried to press the ink pad against my dog's paw, put the pad on the floor and had him step on it. Both times the color was not well tolerated. I ended up going to Michael's, got a non-toxic ink pad and billboard, smeared ink on a couple of paws and ran them across the billboard. So MUCH better results.
