Despite many negative reviews I had three pairs of these scissors and ended up giving two away because people like them so much they don't want to wait to order them. own. I think the biggest problem people have with the mismatch is they say it's hard to open when locked you have to squeeze the handles and this lab practically stands out it's very easy. And remember that it's a straight edge so it doesn't always cut its parts easily, it's designed to cut straight edges. I use it for cutting branches on trees that are at least a quarter inch thick or more, I use it for 10 for felt for a pair for wool (I try to keep a pair for fabrics and one for metals - just like you would do it regularly scissors). I wouldn't want to be without this pair, they are really good, well built, my first pair I have left and they are probably 25 or older and get a lot of use. So I'd recommend at least getting them and trying them out and remembering when you pick a lock you have to squeeze the handles and then they decide to pick. This is the biggest complaint about the sound of people.
