Runs small

Runs small for a hat. My son is 5 years old and they fit very tight and don't have much room. It has no extra space in the cap, it fits like a tight skullcap. It's like it doesn't completely cover the ears with the rolled up tape as shown in the photo. I think it's better for toddlers. Maybe 3 or less. if you didn't want a tight-fitting cap.
