Review on Building Pieces 🐒 for Monkeys - Learning Resources by Anthony Tegan

Bought this toy for my 5 year old boy. He loves the basic gear and loves building things out of it so I thought it would be great. I thought he'd like to zoom in on the scenery and have the gears move a bit. Other reviews about it were good. However, when he opened it on Christmas morning, he couldn't just assemble it and work on his own. His father had to sit down and help him assemble it because there is only one way to make everything work properly, so you must follow the instructions. This is not very good for creativity with a basic set, for example. So after spending all that time setting it up, twist the knob a few times and watch the monkeys run around and that's it. Kids lose interest pretty quickly, and then you either have to find a place to leave it or just clean it up. It's not really something they can just get up and get creative and then put down. I would like to spend my money on another basic set.
