2nd update: Received a replacement and the picture is no better. There are still fingerprints all over the lens. But it's not that shaky. This time the image is blurrier, but with annoying blemishes in some places, while others appear a bit clearer. No items are missing, and that's the only plus. It takes almost an hour to actually play the audio no matter how I try, which is insanely annoying. I literally have to fiddle with the same settings over and over again, turning them on and off constantly, and oh my god, it's driving me nuts. The remote shows the battery level is 100 but it sounds like it's at level 1. I can finally play the sound through the speaker but it's not very loud at all compared to the original broken projector. This product is simply defective. Buy something else. Original update: damaged and used item. Fingerprints all over the lens. I received this item and it wasn't great. I noticed that there were smudges and fingerprints all over the lens. I rubbed it gently and noticed that the lens was very loose, like it might fall out. It's not good because it probably won't last. However, I was thrilled to be able to see a home theater screen again, as were my kids. So I installed it. It's not 1080p. It might be 720p, but not really. I was generous in my initial review because we were excited but when we noticed more issues I sought advice and came back here. Then I saw the pictures posted by other reviewers and realized a few things. mine is used The manual, lens cap and one of the wires were missing from my box. This explained the dirty fingerprints and smudges all over the lens. This has changed my opinion of this item as it is likely a used and returned item that was damaged or defective. I cannot give a good or good rating for such an item as it was returned for some reason. The picture in it isn't terrible either. The speaker enclosure didn't work so I had to connect my own speaker via USB. It sounded good. The image isn't the sharpest, but there's a chance the lens is dirty on the inside, but that's doubtful as the image can only come into focus on one side at a time. Let me explain, you turn the dial for clarity. Going in one direction makes the image sharp at the top but blurry at the bottom. If you go in the opposite direction, the opposite will happen. Setting it right in between will give you less crisp tops, bottoms and everything else. So there is no way to be clear on everything. It's annoying. This results in blurry edges and outlines in movies, similar to 3D without glasses. We saw a movie on it and it wasn't terrible. It looked pretty decent and was good enough for us. The car didn't overheat, I noticed that. The cord is so short I had to buy 2 extension cords to make it work. I couldn't connect it to my phone to stream, nor would it let me stream via Bluetooth. I had to connect my firestick, which worked great. Firesticks are amazing. This must be set high enough, otherwise the screen will be severely distorted by the tilt. This is a decent product as long as you get a good one. Don't expect HD quality, it doesn't.
