Review on 🔑 D180004 DEWALT Door Lock Installation Kit: Bi-Metal Tool for Effortless Lock Installation by Orlando Mohr

Full disclosure, this was my first custom door installation so I am not a seasoned professional. I found the mount to be perfect for what it was designed for. There are no instructions, but there are a couple of decent YouTube videos. Although it is quite easy to use. The reason I think it's only 4 stars is because I'm concerned about the ability of the hole saws and mandrel to handle multiple jobs, which in my case is probably not a big deal. Follow some of the tips in the Q&A and lubricate the mandrel a bit if you don't want to be frustrated with detaching the saw from the mandrel when resizing. Also note that the hole saw was very warm after cutting, so work gloves were helpful. I also found my spare drill bit to be a lot more powerful (I know it's old school). I used this for a custom made exterior door panel so it would be more durable than your regular hollow core interior door. I would still buy this unit over others simply because I have consistently found the Dewalt to be reliable (this is just my experience). Above all, he did the job I wanted.
