This is a bargain basic Internet Modem. Works great with my basic Xfinity internet plan. In fact, I'm getting 2-3 Mbps more than I planned. The technical department was able to activate it without any problems. It doesn't get hot, just a little warm, which is to be expected. You will need a Category 6 cable (I bought a cable from Revain Basics) to connect it to the outlet and an Ethernet cable to connect it to the router. It's very small, it can be hidden anywhere. All in all, a lot for a basic modem, covering the rental cost of a modem in just two months.
