As an LMT here in Az, I liked the idea of a light table that could support my customers' weight plus my weight (for deep tissue). 27 pounds is correct, as far as 700 pounds static I suspect. The padding is very minimal (which is to be expected with such a light table). I had a call customer on my desk last night, I pressed down a little and heard squeaks. Now it can be tablecloths like at home, but I own my own business and I really don't like the idea of possible injury to myself or clients. HOWEVER, all in all, I didn't find any problems with the table constructively, without upholstery. A good table to take with you when travelling, but don't climb on the table with your customer.
